THIS KING-SIZE QUILT IS FINISHED!
(rail fence pattern)

It was built by me, was long-arm quilted by dear friend Jeanne Knudsen; and was completed in the summer of 2020.
It conjures up thoughts of fishing and the flow of the stream.

The quilting stitches reflect a trefoil fish mimicking the threesome of the fisherman, the fish and the water.

The quilt has a center area bordered with piping that matches the binding.

MY FIRST ART QUILT:  “OCTOBER QUILT” 2013

THIS ART QUILT HAS BEEN EXHIBITED THREE TIMES TO DATE:
PAINTBRUSH PIECERS QUILT GUILD SHOW in Cody Wyoming,
BIG SKY QUILT GUILD SHOW in Billings Montana
PARK COUNTY FAIR in Powell Wyoming.
IT WAS MY FIRST ART QUILT.

AT THE FAIR, It was a ribbon winner IN THE ART QUILT CATEGORY!
Here are some details of the stitching, etc.  It is an illustration of Asheville’s famous author Thomas Wolfe’s description of October.  This quilt is now in a private collection.
It measures 18 inches wide x 24 inches tall.  It incorporates decorative stitching, piping, calligraphy, and applique. Great project to learn a new sewing machine!

BEADED CUFF WITH BRADS     2018

I made this bracelet under the tutelage of
Master Beader Birdie Real Bird of Montana.
With time, I hope to make the beads more consistent
and tighter together.
It was a great first project AND I LOVE WEARING IT.
